30 Day Snap: Day 2

This little guy visited me at work today. I was going to take somebody their drinks and I saw him on my way out of the bar. I knew I had to take a picture!

When my brother and I were little we would spend all summer looking for these little green tree frogs. We were convinced they were the same ones every summer. They had names and everything.

Seeing this little guy today brought back some great memories.

Do you have any memories that involve animals?

Have a great day, see you tomorrow!

30 Day Snap: Day 1

I cannot believe it is June already!!! Where is 2013 going? It's going much too quickly if you ask me.

This is my view at work. On the weekends I tend the Cabana bar at the local Country Club. I really enjoy it, even though it is torture to sit and look at the pool all day. I really love swimming!

Be ready for another picture tomorrow!

What is your summer job?

Have a great weekend!

The 30 Day Snap

One of my favorite bloggers (and YouTubers) SprinkleofGlitter is hosting a challenge called "The 30 Day Snap."

And I plan to participate!

This means, everyday in the month of June, I will upload a picture (or two) of whats going on in my life that day, plus a little blurb explaining the picture!

I have trouble blogging on a regular basis, so maybe this will help me get in the routine of it all!

Let me know if you plan on doing it too!

-Have a great day:)

CamelBak Love

This past summer I got a CamelBak water bottle. I loved that thing to death, it really helped me stay hydrated!

A sad day came near the end of this semester... My beloved CamelBak broke... It had seen better days, but it was holding up, but the day came where it could hold on no longer.

My friend Michael and I tried to fix it, but alas, it had to be thrown away.

A few days ago, I was in Target and saw their display of new, shiny CamelBaks and I knew right then I wasn't leaving Target without one!

After a tough decision, I chose pink over turquoise.

Once I got home, I remembered a pin I had seen on Pinterest.

Somebody had used a vinyl sticker to monogram their CamelBak, and I decided I wanted to do the same! I always love a good monogram (more on that later)!

After some searching on Etsy, I found a shop that was selling exactly what I was looking for!

The sticker came in the mail yesterday and I absolutely LOVE the final product!

It was SO easy, and it looks really cute.

Now I have a new CamelBak to love! I'll make sure to take good care of this one!

Let me know what you think about CamelBaks and monograms.

Have a wonderful day!

I've Been MIA...

So, I'm home from college for this year! I can't believe my freshman year is over!

It was tough! But I am so proud of myself for getting through with the grades I got:)

I know I haven't been posting, but that is going to change this summer!

I am re-doing my bedroom at home this summer, so there will be some decorating posts. As well as DIY crafty posts.

I am also trying to challenge myself in the fashion department, so I will probably doing some outfits of the days. Maybe save them up over the week and post them all in one post every week. Let me know what you think!

Also, if I go shopping, I will try to do a haul video and link it here.

Let me know what other posts you would like to see!

Have a great day!

Spring is Near!

I'll just put this out there: I HATE the cold weather! If I could be in the 70s every day, I would be a very happy person!

Erin and I were walking on campus today, and enjoying the semi-warm weather, and we saw another sign that the weather is making a turn for the better! Flowers!

I never have my camera with me, so I was really happy that I actually did for once so I could get this really great shot!

I hope that you are having some nice spring weather where you live too!

Easter Weekend Fun!

As you all probably know, this past weekend was Easter!

I had a day off of college, but going home was a bit too far for only a three day weekend, so I went home with my friend Erin, who lives much closer to the University!

It was really great to meet her family and go to church with her on Sunday morning!

On Friday night we did some "Easter-themed" baking!

I got both of the ideas off of Pinterest. What a wonderful website! Quite addicting actually.

The first thing we made was White Chocolate Covered Strawberries. But instead of leaving the white chocolate white, we dyed it orange with food coloring. This made the strawberries look like little carrots! So cute! After the chocolate dried a little bit, we used a toothpick to scrape lines to make them look a little bit more "carrot-like."

This picture is pre-lines, but I am so happy with the way they turned out!

The second thing we made were Cookie Nests. We made chocolate chip cookie dough and cooked them in a muffin tin. About a minute after they came out of the oven, we put three Cadbury's Mini Eggs in the top of each cookie. When you pushed the eggs in, it made the cookie look like a nest for the eggs!

Here is a nice action-shot while the cookies were still in the muffin tin.

All in all I am SO happy with the way our sweets turned out!

And a BIG thank-you to Erin for taking these pictures for me!

Comment and let me know if you try and make these cute spring treats!

Have a great day!

P.S. How cute is Erin's dog Nilla?
